Police Academy - COLLECTOR SERIES

The edition for today is the unloved series of Police Academy.
Having a official box on sale that brings together the seven official films, I always thought it was very poor (Do not force me to make fun of comparisons with the movies quality...)

For this reason, I decided to make a box that would exceed all the others.

POLICE ACADEMY (Collector Series)

Another box that appeared to some existing copies. Part of the "West Wing Complet DVD box", with the archived "locker files" from Homicide - Life on the street. Both used the files format.

The box includes all the DVD's and a file supplement.
It represents a reproduction of the cadets uniforms.

The BOX is illustrated with the official emblem, various badges, the badge of Los Angeles and clip with the name of the officer (in this case, the name of the collection)

On the back, the content description with a list of seven films in the series.

The DVD's are wrapped in cardboard covers, usually used in files and reports.
I wanted to gather the movies in the good old fashioned way, as a police officer file.

The numbering of each film appears on the bottom, clearly visible.
The cover is set in a way that supports the DVD to remove it from the BOX. Inside the right, the emblem fills the void.

Inside left it has all the information described of each movie, since the cast, shooting team, technical specifications, Box Office, etc...

On the back, only the emblem and the year of production for each chapter.

The complete collection, plus the Extra.

The Extra is a separate folder, a set of photographs of production, still frames from the movies and poses in black and white. All collected from the fabulous Internet, such as imdb, wikipedia and fan sites.

I went further and created a personal files of each character in the series, such as if it belonged to a squad of policemen.
They are clipped on the right side of the extra folder.

There are 15 in total. From the Commander Lassard, to Zed, to Proctor, the Mahoney, etc..

The missions are listed (movies in which they participate), profile and skills of each character.

Hope you like it!

BE KIND REWIND (VHS edition)

So, I want to show you my custom DVD Boxes I've been making at home. I want to share with you people! So, hope you like them...
First one, a simple one:

BE KIND REWIND

Yep! I'm an artist! An a huge cinephile, loving all movies around the world. Why not making my Boxset DVD's?
I've started with the idea from a Videodrome edition, where the cover is like a VHS box.  I am honest: This is a replica for my Be Kind Rewind version. It's the same thing, ok? I'm not cheating.

A vintage box in paper, like the boxes from the eighties. Then, a larger DVD box (those for 6 or 8 discs) is inserted inside. Note the logos: Maxell, Fugi, Dynamicron... It is the brands I've had in my childhood :)

The outside didn't gone well... The glue got stuck outside and had the paper all bended. The corners are disproportional.
But among the other DVD's, no one notices.

Later I will add some filmcells, picture stills and other stuffs, along with the DVD in the left side.
Used a box for 6 DVD discs (wider than the normal amaray) to mimic a VHS tape.
The width is slightly longer, so I had to modify the composition of the picture.
